Notes/Inscriptions:Printed title (UC). Printed (LC): Entered... Barber & Baker... California, Published by Barber & Baker, corner of Third and J Street, Sacramento. Each image captioned. Log or twig border. Double sheet. Handwritten letter on 2 leaves dated Dec. 23, 1854, French Gulch, and signed Joseph S[?] Peely. For related print see 1963.002:0069--B. Near duplicate of 1963.002:0091--B, with slight variation in rules forming inner image borders. Another variant at 1963.002:092--A, with variant border and imprint placement.
This copy: damage includes old tape mend at corner and brown paper adhered to lower central image.
Thirteen images showing mining camps, miners at work in mines and at daily chores, social activities, interiors of living quarters, etc.
