The scrapbook was created by the staff of the Palos Verdes Project to document the development of the first planned residential community on the Palos Verdes Peninsula, Palos Verdes Estates. Includes clippings from numerous newspapers primarily from the Southern California area, and a handful of local and national magazines. Clippings pertain to the progress made on the development including road construction, buildings, architecture, staffing, installation of utilities, landscaping and zoning but also include broader coverage of the growth and development of San Pedro, Long Beach and the general Los Angeles area. Clippings are dated and arranged chronologically and include the name of the paper from which the article was clipped.
