Documents the founding of the Zoological Society of San Diego and the San Diego Zoo's early growth and development in San Diego's Balboa Park, including its origins in the 1915-1916 Panama Exposition. The Fifth edition illustrates the growth and progress of the San Diego Zoo. Added Attractions to the Regular Entertainment provided by a large, rare collection of animals, are the trained Animal Acts in the Wegeforth bowl, named for the Zoo's founder, on A-Mesa, and other acts and performances as annouced by daily papers and zoo signs.
