Description
Following the 1906 earthquake and fires the Sisters of the Presentation taught in several refugee schools. These photographs show the pupils who attended the school located at Saints Peter and Paul Church on Filbert Street in San Francisco. The school was provided by the Salesian fathers who offered their basement for the sisters to conduct classes between August 1906 and June 1907. The students at the school ranged from 5th to 12th grades. Image 1, St. Peter and Paul Church, 1906.
