Description
Abstract: The Santa Clara County Flood Control and Water District has the power 'to levy and collect a ground water charge for the production of water from the ground water supplies within a zone or zones of the District which will benefit from the recharge of underground water supplies or the distribution of imported water in such zone or zones.' Zone W-2 has been established as the area which would receive this benefit. Only those wells which produce from water-bearing formations benefiting from recharge or distribution of imported water should be included in Zone W-2. The geologic and hydrologic characteristics of the valley and the adjacent foothills determine the extent of the ground water basin, and thus the zone." -- Introduction. Table of contents: Introduction -- Geologic and hydrologic considerations -- Determination of Zone W-2 boundary -- Summary -- Bibliography -- Attachment 2. Summary of wells studied incidental to proposed Zone W-2 boundary change -- Appendix A. Wells included by proposed Zone W-2 boundary change -- Appendix B. Wells excluded by proposed Zone W-2 boundary change -- Appendix C. Wells that are outside but within one thousand feet of new Zone W-2 -- Appendix D. Wells between Arastradero and Fremont Avenue and also between present Zone W-2 and new proposed Zone W-2 -- Appendix E. Wells between Fremont Avenue and Robleda Road and also between present Zone W-2 and new proposed Zone W-2 -- Appendix F. Wells between Robleda Road and Oneonta Drive and also between present Zone W-2 and new proposed Zone W-2 -- Appendix H [sic]. Wells inside of "closest property boundary" but outside of geologic boundary -- Appendix G. Summary of groups D., E., & F. -- Appendix I. Possible boundary disputes.
