Description
Program for the races at Tanforan, November 30, 1938, the 12th day of the 25 day meeting. The program gives the details of each race and the names of the horses running. Tanforan opened as a racetrack in 1899 and continued to operate until it was destroyed by fire in July 1964. Horse races, air races, and car races were held at Tanforan during its 65 year history. It also served as a training camp for a regiment of the U.S. Army during World War I and as the Assembly Center for the relocation of Japanese-American citizens to internment camps during World War II.
