Description
Invitation to an event celebrating the beginning of construction for the extension of BART to the San Francisco International Airport. The event took place on September 13, 1999, at the Tanforan Shopping Center, at the projected site for the San Bruno BART station. The extension of BART through San Bruno was only approved after several years of intense debate and opposition. The station was completed and service began in 2002.
