Abstract: ERA developed an integrated agricultural economic model of Santa Clara County agriculture and groundwater use to evaluate changes in the rates farmers are charged for irrigation groundwater. In addition to evaluating the economic impacts of changes in groundwater cost, this project also included a meta-analysis of the value of ecosystem services and the intrinsic value of 'open space' provided by agricultural lands in Santa Clara. ERA was able to meet tight project deadlines and facilitate a constructive dialogue between farmers, the District, and special interest groups. -- Publisher's description. Table of contents: 1.
