Description
The San Diego Zoo was founded by local four physicians: Harry M. Wegeforth, Paul Wegeforth, Fred Baker, and Joseph C. Thompson, along with naturalist Frank Stephens. Local physicians continued their involvement and support of the Zoo. This 1963 issue highlights continuing synergies by featuring the Zoo's Research Council Board members, veterinary research, and conservation efforts, plus San Diego County Medical Society news and advertisements of interest to local physicians.
