Program booklet for the annual session of the Monterey County Teachers' Institute held in the Armory Hall, Alisal Street, Salinas on September 26 - 29, 1899. Conference for teachers and administrators throughout Monterey County. Many teachers worked in one-room rural schoolhouses at the time. Provides a glimpse into the issues, pedagogy and curriculum development of the time, and teachers and administrators who presented or attended the institute.
