Description

Documents the founding of the Zoological Society of San Diego and the San Diego Zoo's early growth and development in San Diego's Balboa Park. The San Diego Zoological Gardens are unique in providing year round outdoor animal exhibits in Balboa Park. Admission costs 75 cents for adults, but children up to 16 years and all San Diego City and County high school students with a valid I.D. card are admitted free.
