Description
Lawrence Pech was a principal dancer for San Francisco Ballet and founded Lawrence Pech Dance Company in 1995. An acclaimed dancer and award-winning choreographer, Pech has choreographed more than 50 ballets and 30 musicals. For the past 16 years, he has served as dance master for San Francisco Opera. His Bay Area-based company showcased new works through a collaboration of choreographers, composers, designers, musicians and classically trained dancers. Featured on this recording is Blue Lair by Robert Sund which was based on Pech's struggle with cancer.
