Description
Abstract: The purpose of the Jacques Gulch Restoration Project is to reduce the amount of mercury transported into the Guadalupe River watershed. This reduction would occur by removing and capping mercury calcine deposits found within Almaden Quicksilver County Park; more specifically, at two locations on Jacques Gulch upstream of Almaden Reservoir. Once these deposits are removed, the water district will restore the streambanks and plant vegetation in and around the affected area. -- Jacques Gulch FAQ (http://www.valleywater.org/media/pdf/Jacques%20Gulch%20FAQ_4-21-08.pdf) Table of contents: 1.
