Description
The album is red canvas with an image, titled "The Fireman" and signed Harry Murphy, of a firefighter carrying a fainting woman out of flames on the cover. Title printed on cover: "THE FIREMAN". Album contains photographs, ephemera, and newspaper clippings related to the San Francisco Fire Department. Many photographs are of San Francisco firefighters and the exteriors of various San Francisco fire houses. The album also includes photographs of various San Francisco buildings, both before and after the 1906 earthquake and fire, and prints and newspaper clippings about New York City's fire houses.
