Description
Letter dated March 10, 1868, signed by Mark Hopkins to Arthur Brown. Mr. Hopkins inquires about the length and sizes of nails needed to build snow-sheds during the next construction season. Includes an envelope stamped "Central Pacific Railroad, Sacramento" and dated March 12, 1868.
Original measurements: 2 items; 5-1/2 x 5-1/2 in. (letter); 3-1/2 x 6 in. (envelope).
