Description
Selected panels from the tenth climatic map issued by the Southern Pacific Company in April of 1891. The map and accompanying text inform prospective settlers about the temperature and other conditions relating to California's superior farming environment. The first issue was published in 1887. The data was compiled by E. McD. Johnstone. Original measurements: 1 pamphlet: 30 x 9-3/4 in. sheet; 9-3/4 x 3-5/8 in. folded. California Preservation Service (CAPS)
