Description
A Dictionary of Sierra Madre was created to serve as a directory and guide to Sierra Madre, California. It was edited by J.G. Blumer. The booklet was published in 1906 by Southwest Co. in Los Angeles. The Dictionary of Sierra Madre includes an alphabetical listing of topics (Avenues and Streets, Physicians, Trails, etc.) with details particular to Sierra Madre. It also includes a listing of residents, advertisements, and tables with data for transportation, temperature, and rainfall. The booklet was designed and illustrated by artist Henry Ivins Hawxhurst.
