Description
Film, Audio, Video and Digital Art Humanities and Social Sciences Driving to bombing range with Jim Campbell in April, 1992. “We’re going to enter the range right now…we had 3-4,000 troops out here last week, they were here for a month.” “If they want to feed me in jail for going out on the range, they can.” “When I’m out here I use binoculars and if I see government vehicles out here, I’ll head out across the desert.” MCU of old jet engine, “Yeah, that’s an old General Electric and that’s just the power turbine, a third of the engine.” “That cabinet, that black one, had $1000 worth of gold when they brought it out here and dumped it…that cabinet had PCBs in it. It was made in 1962.” During Jim’s walk through of the bombing range, he has a sense of value for the different types of assorted debris and scrap metal. There are also numerous cutaways of mountains, valley, scrap metal and the jet engine on this tape. Audio and video are stronger technically during this April, 1992 talk with Campbell than was the case during the March taping.
