Martin Wiggo Johnson and Bernard Darsey on an island during the Capricorn Expedition (1952-1953). Johnson was at the Scripps Institution of Oceanography. He was a recipient of the Alexander Agassiz Medal, 1959, for his outstanding leadership in biological and general oceanography. 1952
