Real photo postcard of Charles Nigg standing in a street in Maquoketa, Iowa. A large crowd of people stand in the background, including members of the Maquoketa Concert Band with instruments. Mr. Nigg wields a wheelbarrow painted with a message: "From Maquoketa, Iowa to the Pacific Coast or bust!" Charles Nigg paid off a bet relating to the presidential election of 1912 by walking from Iowa to Long Beach, California.
