Description
This photograph documents a typical Dali experience for me. I was siting in a cafe near my house, and a Chinese female college student from a small city in China walked over to me and asked to take a photograph with me, because I am a foreigner. I agreed but told her I wanted to take photographs of her in my house. She said yes after talking with my wife on my cell phone .She was 19, had never had a boyfriend but looked forward to a romantic relationship before she was married. Many young people spend time in Dali during their summer vacations, because it is now full of cheap guest houses, restaurants, cafes and bars.
