Description
YES campaign: If Pinochet wins, Chileans win. YES spokesman states that Gallup polls demonstrate that 47% of voters will vote YES and 42% will vote NO. Ex-Actor Sergio Buschmann describes his support for the Frente Manuel Rodriguez, a leftist guerrilla group, and he is portrayed as a terrorist. YES spokeswoman lists people around Chile that support YES because they were let down by other political parties. Juan de Dios de Carmona says Chile will fall into the hands of Marxists if NO wins. Santiago Gajardo Peillard states that he supports YES because Pinochet has restored order and brought progress to the country. Blanca Retamal supports YES because she wants to maintain freedom in Chile. Elias Figueroa (athlete) pledges his support for YES. YES spokesperson promises Chileans that YES will bring opportunities and a brighter future for their children, liberty, prosperity, and a true democracy. Arturo Alessandri Besa (Ex-Parliamentarian) explains constitutional rights threatened by the leftist, Marxist opposition. He urges Chileans to vote YES. Carmen Weber Aliaga, the Ex-Wife of the leftist politician and future Chilean President, Ricardo Lagos, discusses how her ex-husband ruined her family business and did not care for Chilean laborers. Victor Diaz Caro (of the leftist, guerrilla Frente Manuel Rodriguez) is said to have attempted to murder Pinochet. NO campaign: Pinochet has the country at war. Patricio Bañados explains that Chileans have suffered pain and sadness and that is why they need happiness built on justice, peace, and love. Lists of "fallen" people's names and children artwork. NO caravan advances through Panamerican Norte, Chile and stops in cities that include: Copiapo, Vallenar, and Temuco. Thousands of NO supporters are portrayed and said to have attended these caravans for NO. Chile needs an end to fighting and division. Carmen Frei talks about women supporting her father's presidency in the past. She advocates for women and families in Chile and wants change and government support for them. Patricio Bañados emphasizes a need for coexistence, voting procedures, and voting confidentiality. Actor and Composer Bastian Bodenhofer and Gonzalo Robles give reasons why they support NO. Ex-ambassador José Miguel Barros discusses international affairs including: exports, economic affairs, and negative perspectives on Chile. Ricardo Lagos speaks about Chile's future: truth, justice, growth, equity, economy, labor, investments, exportations, inflation, democratic participation, and unity.
