Description
A type of regalia named 'sino tamarino' that can be purchased and worn after the achievement of 'teveteve' rank. Usually, what is sold is not the armband itself but the right to wear the armband, and to resell the right to other rank-takers. The armband is woven and small circular shells are attached to the material. The 'sino tamarino' in the photo is believed to have been imported from the island of Malo in pre-contact times.
