Description
Man with mustache in center of photo is Alexander Agassiz (1835-1910), a specialist in marine ichthyology of the era. The man with his hand on his forehead is Charles A. Kofoid (1865-1947), who was a marine biologist and oceanographer and was one of the founding members and staff of the Marine Biological Station at La Jolla Cove, which would later become Scripps Institution of Oceanography.
