Single sheet manuscript in Spanish, bearing the signature of Francisco Maria Alvarado on the verso. The manuscript is a list of men residing in San Diego who were deemed available for military service. It was formulated in response to Governor Pio Pico's request, issued on July 16, 1845, for a census in each municipality of all men between 15 and 60 years of age who were available for military service. The list contains the names of seven members of the Osuna family, five members of the Machado and Ybarra families, two members of the Alvarado family, and others Special Collections & Archives, UC San Diego, La Jolla, 92093-0175 (https://lib.ucsd.edu/sca)
