Single sheet manuscript in Spanish, bearing the signature of Francisco Maria Alvarado on the verso. The manuscript is a list of men residing in San Diego who were deemed available for military service. It was formulated in response to Governor Pio Pico's request, issued on July 16, 1845, for a census in each municipality of all men between 15 and 60 years of age who were available for military service.
