Description
A jam-packed Tritoncast comes your way in episode six! In our Triton Spotlight, we chat with recent grad Mikaila Reyes '20 about her experiences with UC San Diego's softball team. The conference's scholar-athlete of the year and a winner of the Arthur Ashe Jr. Sports Scholar of the Year, Reyes tells us how she balanced softball and two majors while posting a 3.98 grade point average, and how her close relationship with her grandmother inspired her to pursue a career in oncology. In this week's Campus Spotlight, Jenny and Jeff are joined by Marissa Ray '22 from women's soccer. She was a recent winner of UC San Diego's #USvsHate award after producing a video featuring several Triton scholar-athletes in support of the Black Lives Matter movement. Ray also appeared in a video produced by the NCAA promoting Juneteenth awareness. Why did she decide she finally needed to speak up? Find out on Tritoncast!
