Description
This repository contains the gridded along and across channel velocities for each channel in addition to vertically interpolated temperature, salinity, and density observations for the 2012-2014 Solomon Sea SPICE moorings. Gridded observations are organized by channel with each channel repository containing an individual file for each combination of the tested interpolation schemes as described in: Alberty, M., J. Sprintall, J. MacKinnon, C. Germineaud, S. Cravatte, & A. Ganachaud. Moored Observations of Transport in the Solomon Sea. https://doi.org/10.1029/2019JC015143 All files are given in both .mat and NETCDF formats. A summary of the interpolation methods and file contents is given in the README.
Note: Authors using Solomon Sea SPICE Mooring data should acknowledge that "The moorings deployments and recoveries were made possible through concurrent contributions of national funding agencies. The MoorSPICE and Pandora cruises have been co-funded by NSF grant OCE1029487, and by ANR project ANR-09-BLAN-0233-01 and INSU/LEFE project Solwara (IDAO and CYBER). The CASSIOPEE cruise has been funded by LEFE/IMAGO ZEBRE project." In addition, users should reference the appropriate data DOI, as listed on each page under Cite This Work, and the appropriate publications, as listed on each page under Related Publications and/or Methods.
