Over the course of two years, Chodorow interviewed founding members of various UC San Diego academic departments, focusing on the principles followed in establishing a given department. Bradley Westbrook served as University Archivist at the time of the interview and helped coordinate the interviews. He can be heard occasionally in the interview.
