Historical Mural (Ramp 1A) was conceived to reinforce the positive contributions of Spanish, Mexican, and Mexican-American men in Chicano history. Restoration completed in 2012 by artists Barajas and Aranda.

In 1966, Chicanos called for the boycott of Coors beer because of its racist hiring practices. In 1969, Coors was charged with racial discrimination. Coors was found guilty in 1970.
