Description
Unlike U.S. men in the 1970's, Mewun men were very relaxed with all children and frequently cared for them. In traditional times, young boys left their mothers early and lived with male relatives in village men's houses. The child has been given a dull machete in preparation for farming in the garden. Around two years of age, children were given dull machetes that they will need to be able to use shortly during necessary regular activities of the family and village community.
