Description
Zhang Zhen is an important Chinese film scholar at NYU. Her book on Shanghai cinema is considered a classic in China and in the U.S. She has published articles and edited books on Chinese independent and documentary film and organizes screenings of Asia films followed by discussion from scholars and film directors that are open to the public. The photograph of Zhang Zhen was taken at one of those events.
