Located on the Big Bend of the Columbia, 90 miles west of Spokane, Grand Coulee Dam is the larges concrete dam in the world. Back of the dam is a reservoir more than 150 miles long. The dam is a key structure of the Columbia Basin Irrigation Project. Souvenir postcard was originally laid in an album documenting a 1953 trip to Washington, Oregon and Alaska.
