Description
The data were used to validate structure-from-motion underwater as a potential geodetic site imaging tool by confirming 3D modeled measurements with well-constrained heights determined from pressure measurements.

Datasets include: (1) Set of 114 digital images collected using a SONY HDR-CX560V camera mounted to the ROV Jason. The photos were taken during a research cruise in September 2017 off the coast of Newport, Oregon. (format: .png) (2) Pressure data from two redundant Paroscientific DigiQuartz pressure sensors in a mobile pressure recorder. The pressures were measured between a concrete benchmark on the seafloor and a mounted platform about 1m above the seafloor. Three columns include the time in Matlab datenumber, gauge #1 temperature-compensated pressure (kPa), and gauge #2 pressure (kPa). (format: .csv) (3) The resulting 3D model after running the digital images from (1) through Agisoft Photoscan Pro (v1.2.3.2331).
