Description
NO campaign: "Los Prisioneros" musical performance. Chileans chat about unemployment at a park. Augusto José Ramon Pinochet Ugarte has lied and hurt so many Chileans for the past 15 years that no one in Chile believes in his words. Alejandro Hales (president of the College of Lawyers) says Pinochet has lied to Chileans about the direction in which his regime was going. Hales states that Pinochet lied about Chile's natural resources, economy, housing, etc. Supporters of NO gather to demonstrate their solidarity and lack of fear for voting NO. Patricio Bañados states that the NO campaign is comprised of actors, musicians, artists, and other creative people. Juan Downey NO audiovisual art installation. YES campaign: Leon Villarin (syndicate leader) discusses his final words with Salvador Allende. Villarin asked Allende to resign his post. Patricio Aylwin states that the armed forces did not act with political power in mind; they were professional and did not abuse their power. Julio Duran N. (ex-senator) asks Chileans to remember September 11, 1973 was the culmination of an institutional crisis that allowed Marxism to infiltrate Chile. Democrats will defend democracy and oppose Marxist groups that once again threaten Chile. Video footage of modernity and socioeconomic development and Chile as a winning, leading country. Pinochet has increased jobs opportunities for Chileans with his expertise and leadership.
