Description
These data represent capillary waves, where each frame contains a surface in 3D space. We placed 40 uL of DI water on a lithium niobate (piezoelectric) thickness mode transducer within a 3/8" circular boundary created by one layer of polyimide tape. Then we supplied a sinusoidal voltage signal to the transducer and recorded holograms of a ~300um square field of view using a digital holographic microscope (LynceeTec) coupled to an ultra high speed camera (Photron). The frequency of the signal was set to the resonance of the transducer, 7 MHz, and the input power (as measured via current and voltage probes on an oscilloscope) was set to a value in the range 0-350 mW for a total of 21 separate data sets (indicated by their set power). Each surface data set is supplied in 18 segments (to facilitate download) and for each data set there is also a comma separated value document containing the time series of the central pixel. Further details are available in the readme and the supplemental information document of the corresponding publication.
