Description
WC (Wall collapse) -- Fallen rock debris. -- Debris:- N Face GW -- Layer of rocks that originated in the collapse of the northen part of the gate structure. Covers additional layers of rocks mixed with sediment. -- Collapsed rock debris from the north face of the wall. Above probably contemporaneous layer of debris with wind blown sediment. Research Data Curation Program, UC San Diego, La Jolla, 92093-0175 (https://lib.ucsd.edu/rdcp) E-corner with L4, W-casemate wall of the fort. Locus below: 23 None. Area stratum Ia Reason for destruction possibly an earthquaqe. -- Represents only the first, highest layer of rock debris above further collapse remains mixed with what seems to be wind blown sediment.
