Description
Mr. Neil R. Senturia serves as Chief Executive Officer of Blackbird Ventures. Mr. Senturia serves as Chief Executive Officer of San Diego News Network, LLC, United States Local News Network Inc., Enviroclean Technologies, Oberon Fuels, Lono Cloud, and Quanlight, Inc. He founded CAIS Software Solutions. He teaches entrepreneurship at UC San Diego’s von Liebig Center for Entrepreneurism and Technology Advancement in the Jacobs School of Engineering. He serves as an Adjunct Professor in the M.B.A. program at San Diego State University, where Mr. Senturia teaches new venture creation. From 2003 to 2004, he served as the Chief Executive Officer of Soflinx Corp. Mr. Senturia served as the Chief Executive Officer at Mohomine Inc. He was the co-founder and Chief Executive Officer of ATCOM/INFO. From 1985 to 1995, he focused on real estate development of office, condominiums, and hotels in Los Angeles and San Diego and built more than 1.8 million square feet of space. From 1980 to 1985, Mr. Senturia served as an Executive in the financial services industry and worked in real estate syndication. He was a Television and Screen Writer and wrote for shows such as M*A*S*H, Alice, and Tony Randall among others. Mr. Senturia serves as an Executive Chairman of LonoCloud Inc. Mr. Senturia serves as Chairman of Mohomine Inc. He serves as a Member of TCA. He has been a Member of Advisory Board of Anametrix Inc. since November 2, 2010. He serves as a Director of DealStruck, Inc. and Quanlight, Inc. Mr. Senturia served as a Member of Advisory Board of V-enable. He served as a Member of Advisory Board at xAD, Inc. Mr. Senturia served on the Board of Directors of SDSU’s Entrepreneurial Management Center. Mr. Senturia has more than 25 years of diverse entrepreneurial endeavors. His newest endeavor is “I'm There For You Baby, The Entrepreneur's Guide to the Galaxy”. Mr. Senturia’s wide range of experiences includes starting two software companies, serving as Chief Executive Officer at a third, real estate development, and screen writing for popular television sit-coms. Mr. Senturia is the winner of Microsoft Retail Application Developer Award in 1997; winner of Microsoft Retail Application Developer Award in 1998; winner of Arnie Karush Award from the San Diego Software and Internet Council in 1998; and winner of UCSD CONNECT Most Innovative Product Award in 1998. He was a Fellow at the American Film Institute in Los Angeles and served in the U.S. Army from which he received an honorable discharge. Mr. Senturia has a Masters degree in Cinema from New York University and graduated from Tufts University with a B.A. degree in English. [Source: Bloomberg Businessweek]
