Edward Hoffmeister of the Universities of Rochester and Miami, USA, who, with his colleague Dr. Harry S. Ladd of the US Geological Survey unraveled a part of the geological history of Tonga, especially the beautiful Island of Eua ; Nukualofa, Tonga, May 1928 - A party is organized by H.S. Ladd and J.E. Hoffmeister to visit Falcon Island, newest island in the Pacific, which had made its appearance in October, 1927 ; A native Tongan feast ; The Laka-Laka or native dancing begins "Prince of Tonga, 1928."
