Description
Wu Wenguang is a founding figure in Chinese independent documentary film making. His film projects are numerous. They include his early film Bumming in Beijing: The Last of the Dreamers (1990) and Jiang Hu: Life on the Road (1999), his many collaborations with Wen Hui for Living Dance Studio for example Dancing with Farmers (2001) and organizer for his Village and Folk Memory series which involved training Chinese to interview and film people from their villages who have survived China’s Great Famine (1958- 1961) and experienced the Cultural Revolution (1966- 1976).
