Description
Installation (?) -- Small,coarsely strctured installation, made up of small stones lning up in a rough circle. Found within layer of debris but somewhat denser than the general debris distribuion. Other distinctions: higher than layer by ca. 20 cm and with large piece -- Found within what seems to be the lowest layer of debris over an ash layer probably accumulated over the latest of the gateway's floors. Research Data Curation Program, UC San Diego, La Jolla, 92093-0175 (https://lib.ucsd.edu/rdcp) Large furnace fragment, few slags, metal object Locus above: 160 Surrounded by L163. Area stratum A1b Identification as indepenent installation uncertain. Possibly an coincidenial outcrop of the layer of ebris below (L163) -- of furnace fragment topping the accumulation of stones.
