Description
Two documents describing an incident that occured on December 17, [1950], involving the arrest of two African American Males, Maurice Simpson (19), and Bobby Mims (20), and their subsequent 60-day incarceration. The documents, one issued in a fact-sheet format, the other a plea of support to the Pasadena community, alledge the two young men were beaten before, during, and after the "booking" process. One officer named, Nick Dally, was apparently involved in such practices on prior occasions. Neither sheet has the year of production, but appear to be issued late-February or March of 1951.
