Description
FI (Fill) -- Copper related industrial waste. -- Slag accumulation over furnace, NW ch. -- Layer of dense industrial waste, mainly slag, positione over the remains of a furnace at the NW corner of the NW chamber of the gate structure. -- The layer is part of the copper related industrial utilization of the gate complex that post dated the original presumably military-defensive stage. Locus above: 79 -- Locus contemporary: 92 -- Locus below: 99 S, E-L92, N-W33, W-W35 Area stratum IIb Covered by the debris of the final destruction although it is not clear whether the destruction was directly responsible for the end of smelting operations here. -- The differentiation between loci 92, 98, 99 and 103 is technical-they all belong to the same phase and represent the same type of utilization.
