Description
Chief Joseph Maori of Lolovoli dips a small stick in each shell of kava and then returns it to his mouth, then back into the kava. He is not testing the kava for poison, as some Europeans might assume. Rather, he is imparting his wisdom and other positive chiefly qualities to each cup of kava.
