Description
Martin Mera of Lovunbise Village near Navonda was an ex-schoolteacher. In 1970, he was the caretaker of the Malawisi Council House, where the Rodmans stayed for 14 months. Martin became their first friend, interviewee, and informally language teacher. It was good to see him again.
