Description
Dried submicrometer particles were collected on 37 mm Teflon filters separately after a 1-micrometer cyclone, 0.5 micron Berner impactor, and 0.18 micron Berner impactor at Mt. Soledad. Flow rate and pressure, solenoid power status, and particle number concentration (TSI Model 3010, recorded for <10000/cm3 by serial output) were also recorded. The particle number concentration was used to stop sampling during particle number concentrations that exceeded 8000/cm3. Flow rates through each filter were recorded every second and integrated to obtain the sampled volume. Filters were analyzed by Fourier Transform Infrared (FTIR) spectroscopy for organic functional groups and were archived frozen. Selected filters were also analyzed for elements by X-ray Fluorescence (XRF). Users of these measurements are encouraged to consult with the authors about appropriate interpretation before submitting for publication, offering co authorship where appropriate. UC San Diego Library Digital Collections. https://doi.org/10.6075/J06W9B8D Starting in January 2024, the components in this object represented two- to three- month ranges of the data only (e.g., February - March 2023, April - June 2023). On 2024-08-21, this object was re-released in its entirety after the components were repackaged with all 13 months' of data represented in each component. Additional details about revisions of the data are available in the Scope and content note of each component.
