Cabinet card studio half-length portrait of Reuben Williams, better known as Reuben the Guide, an African American man who lived in San Diego and worked as a tour guide in Tijuana, Mexico. He wears his signature suit, a tall sombrero hat, a ribboned star badge, and a tie with a fanciful pattern
