Description
To reduce the effects of solar warming on the waters near the beach, water temperatures are taken in the surf early each morning by the Los Angeles County Lifeguard service at Zuma Beach County Park. Temperatures at this site west of Point Dume are therefore thought to be representative of the nearshore waters.
