Description
FRANCO'S MARCH ON TO GIJON; GOVERNMENT TROOPS BLOW UP BRIDGES.-- Franco's troops in their forward march to Gijon, after the taking of Santander, have to overcome not only the defending forces of the Government but bridges and roads that have been destroyed by the retreating armies. Here you see Franco's men building a temporary bridge over the River Puron, near Llanes, which was blown up by the retreating Government forces.
