Description
Film, Audio, Video and Digital Art Humanities and Social Sciences Extended interview with Arkie (Jack) on rebuilding & repairing of bicycles, picking fruit as an itinerant laborer - “Worked since I was 13; 29 children and 3 wives.” Though some of his stories sound exaggerated, Arkie does have an engaging sort of delivery while relating personal and professional aspects of his life. Review of log note transcriptions details his comments and opinions on survival and scavenging at the Slabs. Arkie’s son, Junior, is with him on tape, too.
