This online resource is part of the Michael Schnorr Collection of Border Art Workshop/Tallér de Arte Fronterízo Records (MSS 760).
The Soccer Field was an expanse of ground behind Tijuana's Colonia Libertad neighborhood, abutting Cañón Emiliano Zapata and the U.S.-Mexico border. This performance was a reaction to the United States involvement in Panama. Photo is of costumed artists; the woman is tentatively identified as Yareli Arizmendi, and the foam costumes represent nopal and the face of George H.W. Bush.
This file was saved to an optical disk in 2008, and extracted in 2024. An original slide or print of image(s) may exist elsewhere in the collection.
